A collection of some songs written with Alex Smith for his Two Worlds Apart project. Alex worked with different collaborators in an ad hoc way to make and record songs. He made a number of albums, in many styles. i was drawn into this project towards the end of his life, and we co-wrote a few songs by exchanging ideas and tracks entirely via the internet.

A number of these songs came about by my receiving a musical idea with an arbitrary working title. I used the title as the song's theme and wrote words and melody to suit.

Some of the recordings are still available on his Two Worlds Apart page on Soundcloud. The rest, except for 'Lighthouse Legacy' (included here) are lost.

Alex and I never played a note of music together live. I do play many of the songs live though, and have re-recorded them from time to time.
